Coincraft's newsletter sent out on 8th November 2019. In this newsletter, we presented our collectors with a World War I commemorative medal, an Elizabeth II complete set of florins, an Edward I Penny, a Gallienus Antoninianus Gazelle Coin, and a special Alphabet collection Silver Dollar Set made especially for the World Money Fair in Berlin amongst many other interesting items!
Every once in awhile we offer our collectors the opportunity to purchase items only available in a limited amount of stock. The first newsletter we send out in September was one of those occasions. This stock update had something for every collector, British Coins and Sets, Confederate Banknotes, 17th Century Tokens, Gold Écus and a good selection of World Coins.
Some fascinating pieces were included in this newsletter, including brilliant Edward VIII plain edge collection coins, a Merlyn Lowther Historical £20 note and a Victorian Sixpence from 1887. And for our featured item of the month, we brought you a Treasure Silver Penny from Edward I's reign.
In Coincraft's 'Telling History with Money' feature, we look back at historical events that have occurred on a particular date. The 24th of July 2019, marked the anniversary of Simón Bolivar, also known as the "Liberator" of South America. It was also on this date that Hiram Bingham III made public the existence of Machu Picchu. History on this blog will, of course, always be told with money.
