The Franklin half dollar was struck for circulation between 1948 and 1963, when they were replaced by those with President Kennedy to commemorate the recently assassinated president. This coin is 90% silver and on the obverse we see Founding Father Benjamin Franklin and the Liberty Bell appears on the reverse.
