These medals were awarded to U.S. Soldiers of Pennsylvania’s 28th Infantry National Guard for WW1 combat service on the front lines in France fighting the might of the German Imperial Army. The obverse of the medal has the bust of William Penn and the reverse has an eagle flying over a coastline with ‘28’ on a plinth. This beautiful medal comes complete with ribbon & brooch and an additional ribbon bar in the original Jos. K. Davidson box of issue.
