Exciting news for collectors! We're thrilled to unveil our fresh additions for May.
We're showcasing the British Battles & Medals Book PLUS A FREE BURMA STAR. The Burma Campaign, a prolonged and often overlooked World War II military effort known as the 'Forgotten War', saw British troops initially defeated in 1942 but ultimately achieving a decisive victory in March 1945. To commemorate this historic campaign, "British Battles & Medals" we offer a comprehensive 800-page hardback book at a special 50% discount, accompanied by a free original campaign medal, honouring the sacrifices of these 'Forgotten Soldiers' on the 80th Anniversary of the Burma Campaign.
In addition we also have the George II Old Head Farthing in two grades, fair and fine. King George II ruled from 1727 to 1760, during which time two distinct coin busts were issued - the Young Head and the Old Head. These historical farthings, the smallest denomination of currency at the time, were part of a monetary system where 4 farthings made a penny and 240 pennies comprised a pound. The Old Head coins, now nearly 300 years old, have survived in fine condition despite significant circulation.
Furthermore, we also have the Sindh Silver 1 Drachma. These silver drachm coins originated from the Sindh region, spanning the southern border of Pakistan and western India during the late sixth to seventh century, during the Gurjura Confederacy period. The coins feature a simplified bust of a Sassanian king on the obverse and a stylised fire altar on the reverse, and are considered quite scarce even in their current grade.
In addition to these exciting new coins, we also invite you to explore our wide range of collectables, including British, world, ancient, patina coins and various coin sets as well as an assortment of first day covers and medals.
