Ghurid Dynasty Jital 1206-1215

Here at Coincraft we have a number of small jital coins struck in leaded copper under Taj al-Din Yildiz, a Turkic ghulam or slave soldier of the Ghurid dynasty. After the death of Sultan Muhammad of Ghor, Yildiz became the de facto ruler of Ghazni, which is in the Ghor region of what is modern day Afghanistan. These rare coins were struck in Lahore between 1206 and 1215 and come in Fine condition.
