The United Kingdom, 2003 Prototype Euro Pattern Set

This is a privately issued prototype of what Euro coins might have looked like if the UK had joined the Euro. The collection contains 8 Prooflike Uncirculated coins in the same size and composition that the actual Euros were struck in. It comes in a full-colour folder with an explanation of the patterns. There were some problems in past with these issues and the collections went off sale. But we were able to buy a small supply from a dealer who bought them at the time. Supplies are limited and this set is now 18-years-old.
