Romania 20 Lei 2021 Polymer Unc

This polymer 20 lei note issued in 2021 honours Ecaterinei Teodoroui.(P-New). She fought on the front during World War I and is the first woman to appear on a Romanian banknote. The front features her portrait in uniform alongside vignettes of fl owers, a bugle and the Military Virtue medal. Teodoroui initially worked as a nurse but wanting to avenge her brother Nicolae’s death asked to serve as a front line soldier. After her death, she was elevated to the status of Heroine of Romania.
