These Chinese cash coins are from the Daoguang Emperor, also known as the Emperor Xuanzong, who was the sixth ruler of the Qing Dynasty. His reign lasted for some 30 years, between 1820 and 1850, and this period was marked by war and internal rebellion. The coins themselves were struck in brass and have characters in Chinese, Mongolian and Manchu languages.
