Garcilaso Inca de la Vega was the son of a Conquistador and an Inca woman. He was born in Cuzco in 1539 and was famous for his chronicles of Inca history, culture and society. He is shown on the front of this 10 soles note dated 1974 alongside a view of his house in Cuzco to the left and Jesus on the cross to his right. Straw boats on Lake Titicaca are featured on the back(P100), Crisp Uncirculated.
