These £5 notes were issued in 1987, towards the end of Somerset’s term as Chief Cashier. They were a new variety with a security thread that was much thicker than previous issues. (B345) We are delighted to offer Uncirculated examples of the very first of these thicker thread fivers all with the prefix RA01. Scarce and Uncirculated.
