Australia, Charles III, 1 Dollar 2024, 1 Ounce Kangaroo

The Perth Mint began minting the 1oz Silver Kangaroo coin in 2016 so this is a fairly new series but one which has proved very popular with collectors. The 2024 issue is the first to carry the new portrait of King Charles III with the denomination below. The reverse features the classic bounding red kangaroo, surrounded by rays of sunlight. The design also incorporates the P125 mint mark celebrating the 125th anniversary of the Perth Mint alongside a special security feature to prevent counterfeiting which is in the form of a micro-laser engraved letter ‘A’ only detectable under a magnifying glass, see if you can find it!
