This 2000 pesos note, issued in 2023 to cope with ever rising inflation in Argentina, honours two pioneering physicians (P-New). The first is Ramon Carillo He was a Neurosurgeon and Public Health advocate who was Argentina’s first Minister of Public Health. He eventually had to go into exile after the 1955 coup d’etat against President Peron. The second physician featured is Cecilia Grierson, feminist, reformer and nurse who was the first women to get a Medical degree in Argentina. The gateway to the National Microbiology Institute is depicted on the back. Uncirculated.
