2002 Proof Set

The 2002 UK Proof Coin Set was a very special one because it contained the beautiful Five Pound coin issued to mark the Queen’s Golden Jubilee, 1952-2002. This coin featured two completely different portraits of Elizabeth, one viewed from the back which was intended to represent the Queen looking back on 50 years on the throne and the other, an equestrian portrait which was a re-imagined design of her 1953 Coronation Crown. There are nine coins in total in the set including the 1p, 2p, 5p, 10p, 20p, 50p, £1, the bimetallic £2 and the £5 Golden Jubilee Commemorative.
