Elizabeth II, Proof Set, 1984

In 1984 the Royal Mint issued the last coins and the last Proof Sets with the Machin bust of Queen Elizabeth II. In this Proof Set, there is a total of 5 (Five) coins not issued for circulation!!! This 1984 Proof Set contains the £1, 50p, 20p, 10p, 5p, 2p, 1p & 1/2p. Of these the 1/2p, 2p, 5p, 10p, 50p coins were not issued for circulation. If these were American coins, they would sell for at least £100 each or £700-£1,000 for the group and that doesn’t include the Proof coins that were issued for circulation. We think this last Proof Set of the Machin bust is very exciting. Remember 5 coins in this Proof Set were not issued for circulation.

Picture of George V, Halfpenny Collection, 1911-25

George V, Halfpenny Collection, 1911-25

The Halfpenny of King George V is the most difficult bronze denomination to get, especially if you are trying to put a date set together. These early dates 1911-25 are the most difficult of the dates to find, so put them together and you have the most difficult of the most difficult. Each coin is in selected circulated condition and remember that they are almost 100 years old. You will get each date 1911-1925 for your collection. It took the person who made up the sets a long time to do it and even then he had to go out and buy some dates to complete the collections.

Dutch Pre-Euro Coin Set

The Netherlands issued their own coinage, but now only use Euro coins. One of our suppliers has put together type sets of the old, pre-Euro coins that each country used to use. It is getting harder and harder to find the coins to make up these sets, so supplies are limited. All coins are circulated, which means that they were actually used as money. You get the 1 Gulden, 25c 10c and 5c coins.
