It took Victoria 50 years to change the William Wyon designed “Young Head” portrait adopted when she was only 17. When the new Jubilee portrait by Boehm was introduced in 1887, she wasn’t impressed. It only lasted for 1887, 1888, with small numbers struck in 1889. The new “Large Head” was introduced in 1889 until 1892. We have on offer Shillings featuring Victoria’s “Large Head” in VG grade. A great opportunity to fill those missing dates.
