In 1921 for the last time a Silver Dollar engraved by the British artist Morgan was issued. In 1922 the Peace Silver Dollar was struck. Both coins are known as ‘Cartwheel Dollars’ but both are of totally diff erent designs. The Morgan Dollar was fi rst struck in 1878 by the 1920’s the Mint felt that a new design was needed. The Peace Dollar celebrated the end of World War One, the war to end all wars, or so they thought.
