Uncirculated South African farthings
divider
Farthings from South Africa with the image of the late Queen Elizabeth II were only struck between 1953 and 1960, when the country introduced the rand as its currency. We have discovered a small number of Uncirculated coins dated 1955 and 1958, which we are offering both individually and as a pair. The reverse of the coin shows 2 Cape sparrows perched on a branch of the acacia tree, surrounded by the date, denomination and country name in both English and Afrikaans.
