This Syria 500 Pound note dated 1992 draws heavily on Syria’ ancient history (P105) The front has illustrations of artefacts from the Kingdom of Ugarit with a carved head of an Ugaritic Prince and an illustration of Anat suckling two princes. On the back, we find a clay pitcher with deer and a cuneiform tablet with the Ugaritic alphabet. The main illustration depicts an elaborate gold bowl decorated with hunting scenes from the Temple of Baal at Ugarit. Uncirculated.
