It was back in 1967 that Switzerland minted its last circulating coins containing silver, making it one of the last countries in Europe to do so. Since then even the high denomination coins have been struck in copper nickel. The designs on the coins remained unchanged, with the half franc and the 1 and 2 franc coins still showing the fi gure of Helvetia standing, and the 5 franc showing the bust of a herdsman often believed to be William Tell. All the coins are in Extremely Fine condition.
