Sri Lanka 1000 Rupees 2004-6 P120 Unc

These 1000 rupee notes issued by Sri Lanka in 2006 are just charming.(P120e) The main illustration is of a decorated elephant with its mahout (handler) with a smaller vignette of an elephant carrying a relic in the Festival of the Tooth. The back, printed vertically, depicts the Octagonal building of the Temple of the Sacred Tooth in Kandy and two strutting peacocks, Impressive in Uncirculated.
