These blue 100 peseta notes dated 1925 were printed in England by the security printers Bradbury Wilkinson. They are beautifully engraved with the portrait of Philip II on the front and a view of the Escorial, resting place of Kings of Spain, at the centre. On the back is a detail of a painting of La Silla de Felipe II a craggy vantage point from where Philip II is supposed to have watched the construction of The Escorial. Although these notes are dated in the 1920’s they were actually released into circulation during the Republic of the 1930’s. Available Good VF condition.
