Robert Burns Scottish Pattern 5 Ecu Goldine

This privately issued Scottish 5 Euro piece was made in 2009 by Scotmint Ltd. They have a handsome facing bust of Robert Burns on the obverse and a map of Europe with the number 5 on the reverse. These high relief 36mm pieces were struck in Golden Alloy (2,500 pieces made). We bought all that Scotmint had left. Each piece comes in a high quality presentation case with a certificate of authenticity. They were made 12 years ago to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the birth of Robert Burns. This is a beautiful Ecu Goldine 5 Euro Piece. We bought them right, so we are going to sell them right. But supplies are limited and they are rather handsome pieces at great value prices.

1936 Sixpence Choice Uncirculated_obv

George V, Sixpence 1936 Choice Uncirculated

We have just found in a small room a little lot of the 1936 British Silver Sixpences. They are in Choice Uncirculated condition and the date is rather special. In 1936 we had three different Kings, George V, Edward VIII, and of course George VI. While all the coins carry the portrait of King George V, they were actually struck while King Edward VIII was on the throne, he ruled for 10 months in 1936. These are the last George V coins and are in Choice Uncirculated condition. A very small and very nice group of this important 1936 silver sixpence…

George VI, Complete Halfpenny Collection 1937-52

George VI Complete Halfpenny Collection 1937-52

King George VI, was of course the father of our current Monarch Queen Elizabeth II. He kept the country on an even keel during World War Two and took over when his brother Edward VIII abdicated. Of the three bronze coins issued, Penny, Halfpenny and Farthing, without doubt the hardest to find is the Halfpenny. A friend of ours took several years to put together these complete date collections of George VI halfpennies 1937-1952. The Coronation year was 1937 and he passed in 1952. There are a total of 16 coins in the date collection, one for each year of his reign. All coins are in selected circulated condition and it would be very difficult to make up these sets today. Coronation, World War Two and every year that he was on the throne. You get all 16 coins in selected circulated condition for just £14.95 that is less than £1 a coin, but supplies are limited.

Picture of George VI, World War II Remembered Set

George VI, World War II Remembered Set

This is a fantastic new collection of coins, stamps and a banknote from World War II. It is exclusive to Coincraft and there were only 5,000 sets made. They make excellent gifts and are rather handsome. You get a set of 4 British coins of King George VI that actually circulated during the Second World War; all coins are dated 1937-1945. They consist of the Brass Threepence, Penny, Halfpenny, and Farthing. You also get the 1943 United States Cent struck in steel; it was only ever struck for one year. Plus a Cent dated 1944-1946 which was made from melted down shell cases. You get a Churchill crown, as he was our wartime Prime Minister. You also get a large-sized 1 Lire coin from Italy dated 1940, the year they declared war against Great Britain. Plus you get a pair of mint stamps for the Liberation of the Channel Islands with King George VI’s portrait. Plus two mint stamps from the United States showing the overrun nations of The Netherlands and Luxembourg. Plus a stamp issued by this country just after the War, where they reduced the colour to save ink. Finally, you get a large-sized 10 Rupee note from Burma, issued while it was under Japanese occupation. Don’t miss out on this fantastic collection.
