Rare Swedish Uniface Euro Patterns

Continuing on with our extremely low mintage Patina Pattern Series. This issue we offer Sweden, which so many of you know and love. There were only 50 sets of made for the entire collecting world. That means only 50 collectors in the whole world can own one of these uniface pattern Euro Sets and as Coincraft bought the entire mintage, you can only get them from us! It contains 16 uniface pieces struck on an oversized planchet. One for the obverse and one for the reverse. You get the 1 & 2 Euro sizes plus the 50c, 20c, 10c, 5c, 2c and 1c sizes. As it appears that they are going to stop making 1c and 2c coins these rare sets are even more exciting. These oversized pieces are struck in Proof condition marked ‘Trial, Probe, Essai, Prueba’ to show that they are patterns. Each set has 16 pieces in it and that works out to not a lot of money per piece and they only made 50 collections!

Russia 500 Roubles 1912 Peter The Great P14 EF/GEF

We have always loved these 500 roubles featuring Peter the Great. They are dated 1912 and are amongst the last notes issued by Tsarist Russia before the Russian Revolution of 1917 swept away all vestiges of Imperial Rule.(P14) They are huge- measuring 270mm x 125mm. At the time, they represented an equally huge amount of money. They feature an imposing portrait of Peter the Great on the back and in the watermark. Peter the Great built Russia’s Navy and founded St Petersburg, the Venice of the North. These are lovely examples in Crisp EF/GEF.
