Rare Silver 10p Alphabet Series Finally Available Individually

In 2018, the Royal Mint issued a new series of 26 different 10 pence coins representing each letter of the alphabet. There were 220,000 struck in cupro-nickel for general circulation and these are hard enough to come by as it is. They also struck silver proofs in very limited numbers and offered them as single coins with mintages ranging from 2000-3000 and, finally, they also made 200 silver proofs each packaged in acrylic blocks in a card presentation case with the letter on the outside. We have offered these coins as complete sets before when they been available but we have just bought a hoard that someone had put away when these were released, which partly explains why these have been so hard to fi nd. The main reason, of course, is that they were struck with extremely low mintage figures and they were bought by people who subscribed to the Royal Mint new release programme so they were never really made available to the general collecting public. Not only are they RARE coins, but they make great personal gifts for friends and family as birthday or Christening gifts as you can chose the letter to match the person’s name. These are all available in very limited numbers so get in quickly to get the ones you want. Our pricing is based on the mintages and the current availability but the current catalogue price for these coins is £45.
