Of all the former Eastern bloc nations the one that has done the best is Poland. As a carry on from that the Polish market for their coins and banknotes is also hot, but this is one set they don’t have because only 50 sets were made and Coincraft bought the entire mintage! International Numismatic Agency made just 50 sets of eight different Polish ‘Euro’ patterns. Each pattern is struck on one side only so that there are 16 pieces of the eight patterns, one each of the obverse and reverse. Two of them feature Pope John-Paul II, three of them feature the astronomer Copernicus and three of them feature Chopin, all famous figures. If you want one of these rare sets you can only get it from Coincraft – Britain’s Coin Shop. Helping collectors for the past 70 years.
