Ptolemy VI Philometor and Ptolemy VII Neos Philopator, also known as Ptolemy Eupator, had a brief and tumultuous joint rule in ancient Egypt. Ptolemy VI, a seasoned king, initially ruled alone but later took his younger brother Ptolemy VII as co-regent around 145 BCE. Their joint reign was marked by internal strife and power struggles within the Ptolemaic dynasty, reflecting the broader instability of the Hellenistic period. Despite attempts to present a united front, their rule was short-lived, with Ptolemy VII's early death or assassination. This period underscored the challenges of maintaining dynastic unity amidst external pressures and internal discord. We only have 15 AE’s to offer from their joint rule coming with Zeus-Ammon on the obverse and two eagles standing on a thunderbolt on the reverse. These come in “Fine” grade!
