Few will instantly recognise the name Maria Salomea Sklodowska, but Marie Curie, the Polish-born naturalised French citizen who led pioneering research into radioactivity is a well-known name. She was the first woman to win a Nobel Prize for her work. In 1967, and for one year only, Poland issued this 10 zloty coin to commemorate the centenary of her birth which we can now offer in Extremely Fine condition.
