Papua New Guinea abandoned issuing its notes on paper and now issues banknotes printed on polymer plastic.
These 20 kina notes are the last of this denomination to be issued on paper The front has the soaring roof of the Parliament building while the back has a boar’s head alongside shell artefacts. Issued to mark the 35th Anniversary of the Bank of Papua New Guinea in 2008.
