As New Zealand only issued its own coinage from 1940, the late Queen Elizabeth II was only the second monarch to appear on the nation’s coins. These halfpennies date from the 1960s and are available in a set of 3 in uncirculated condition. The reverse of the coin shows a Hei-tiki, an ornamental Maori pendant made of greenstone. Dates will be of our choice but will include 1965 the fi nal year of issue before the introduction of the decimal dollar.
