This small sized Dutch 10 Cents of 1944 has a most interesting story. During World War II the Netherlands was overrun by the Germans. Still people needed money for everyday living. So the Dutch Government made a deal with the Americans to strike coins for them. This small sized silver coin was actually struck in San Francisco, California and then shipped roundabout to The Netherlands. You can tell this 1944 ten cents was struck in San Francisco because it has an ‘S’ mintmark on it. But what is even more amazing is their quality. We can only grade them Gem Uncirculated the nicest examples that I have ever seen. If you want the best, this is it!
