Luxembourg 1000 Francs (1985) P59 Crisp EF/EF+

Luxembourg was an early signatory to joining the euro. This 1000 franc note was amongst the last to be issued (P59) The front features a portrait of Grand Duke Jean in military uniform while the back illustrations comprise an ancient scribe, an extract of the Codex Aureus of Echtenach and churches in Echternach.
