Last 8 double coins from Guernsey
divider
In 1956 and 1959 the island of Guernsey had its last pennies, or 8 double coins, struck for general circulation. These were the only 2 years this particular coin was issued during the reign of Elizabeth II, as the coinage was decimalised in 1972 along with the rest of the UK. On the obverse is the Arms of Guernsey and the reverse shows the Guernsey lily, which is common on the island. We are offering both coins as a pair in Uncirculated and Extremely Fine condition.
