divider
In 1866 Jersey’s copper 1/13 of a shilling coin was replaced by a smaller and lighter bronze version, which was minted only in 1866, 1870 and 1871 before it was replaced by the 1/12 shilling in 1877. The obverse shows a diademed bust of Queen Victoria, while the obverse has an ornamental coat of arms with the legend above and the value below. A selection of these interesting coins are available in Fine-Very Fine condition for all 3 years of issue.
