During the Second World War, the Channel Islands were occupied by the Germans. There was a shortage of small change in Jersey so to overcome the problem, the Germans gave permission for notes to be issued ranging from the 6d to the £1. These wartime issues were necessarily crude affairs and small . From this series, we can offer choice examples of the lowest denomination which was the Sixpence. Given the privations and the crude manufacture, it is a minor miracle they have survived in such wonderful condition. Very limited availability.
