Although there were some pattern double florins of King George V made, no actual coins were ever issued for circulation. Years ago our friends at INA (International Numismatic Agency) decided to do something about that. So they issued a Patina George V Double Florin and they did it in three different metals. They post-dated them 1910, the year that his father King Edward VII died, rather than 1911 the year of his Coronation. Being Double Florins they are slightly smaller than crownsized, after all it was four shillings against five for a crown. The set of three comes in a handsome presentation case, holding Sterling Silver, bronze and goldine examples. They are in Proof condition and most of the small mintage has disappeared off the numismatic market. We have a small quantity but because of the scarcity and the price of silver being much higher, we have had to raise our prices.
