Today it appears that mints want £8-£10 for a cupronickel crownsized coin. We know it is strange, but the older coins are much cheaper than the new ones. This 1966 crown was issued to commemorate the Norman Conquest. It carries the two dates, 1066 and 1966 as well as featuring an unusual portrait of the Queen. Before Nova Scotia became part of the Canadian Confederation, she issued some coins in her own name. The coin on offer is the large copper One Cent coin of Queen Victoria. There were never many coins issued by Nova Scotia. So if you collect a coin of a country then this is the coin you will need for your collection. You have the bust of Queen Victoria on one side and the name and the value on the other side. These One Cent coins were only issued between 1861 and 1864. They are in Very Good –Fine condition and we are sure you will be pleased with them. But supplies are limited.

Edward VII had a very short reign, 1901-1910, because his Mother, Queen Victoria, lived so long. Much of his coinage is difficult to get and in some cases rather expensive. All of his silver coins were struck in Sterling Silver and a crown was only issued in 1902 for his Coronation. So we offer the Sterling Silver Halfcrown, the largest denomination silver coin stuck for regular usage. It has the bare head of the King on one side and a beautiful crowned shield on the other side.
