A trio of notes issued by the Weimar Republic in Germany. Our trio comprises the 10,20 and 50 reichsmarks dated between 1924 and 1933 (P180-2) They are fairly densely engraved with portraits on the front of Albrecht Daniel Thaer, agronomist, Werner von Siemens, industrialist and inventor and David Hansemann, banker. Neoclassical themes adorn the backs. In Good Fine and better.

In the 1940s, Greece suffered from rampant inflation and although times were hard the banknotes produced were still able to celebrate Greece’s glorious past. The numbers on this note say a modest 2000 but the truth is the note is for 2000 million drachma !(P133) The central vignette is a frieze taken from The Parthenon in Athens. These notes were printed locally in Athens and are in Uncirculated condition.

Slovenia gained independence from Yugoslavia in 1991 and immediately issued new banknotes. From this first series, dated 1992, we are delighted to offer a set of 8 Specimen notes with values from the 1 to the 1000 tolarjev (P1-6s P8s-9s) Slovenia, of course, is now part of the Eurozone and since 2007, no longer issues currency in its own name. These turned up when we moved offices recently having been tucked in the back of a safe for the last 5 years!. So, as a special and to celebrate us finding them, we are offering this 8 note 1992 Slovenia Specimen Set in Crisp Uncirculated condition.
