George V, Shilling 1911 Extremely Fine

The shillings of George V featuring the portrait of the King by Bertram Mackennal were the last shillings to be struck in 92.5% Sterling Silver. These shillings circulated during World War I, a time of major economic strain and were hoarded and melted during the war due to their intrinsic value, so high-grade examples from these years are much scarcer than mintage figures suggest. We have on offer high grade examples in Extremely Fine condition.
