George V pennies were minted between 1911 and 1936. The obverse features the portrait of King George V by Sir Bertram Mackennal, while the reverse shows a seated Britannia. These bronze coins were struck at the Tower Mint, but in 1912, 1918 and 1919, minting was also outsourced to mints in Birmingham.
