George I, Ruler of Hanover from 1698, and - in a protracted succession debate between the Stuarts and Hanoverians - crowned George I, King of England in 1714. Farthings were struck between 1717 and 1724 and were widely circulated until late in the 18th century. We have a selection of these early copper farthings available in Fair, or heavily circulated grade. These coins are getting difficult to find and are about 300 years old.
