Weekly Trivia: Japan's large, oblong, bronze 100 Mon coin, called the Tempo Tsuho, was minted from 1835 to 1870. It was an official coin of the Tokugawa Shogunate and was phased out during the Meiji Restoration with the introduction of the Japanese yen.
