Egypt 50 Piastres 1964 Diversion of the Nile BU

In 1964, one of the most important mechanical feats was completed, they diverted the flow of the mighty Nile to build the Aswan Dam. This feat was done by the Russians to help gain influence with Egypt and the Middle East. Egypt issued a series of 4 silver coins in 1964 to mark this most important event. The crownsized 50 Piastres, the 25, 10 and 5 Piastres. Now some 62 years later collectors are seeking these coins and not being able to find them. We bought a small hoard of both the 50 Piastres all in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. Today they are very difficult to find, especially in such a wonderful high grade. Supplies are very limited.
