We bought a fantastic small group of India’s first silver Rupee of Queen Victoria struck in 1840, some 186 years ago. They were issued by the East India Company and carry the very young bust of the Queen. The best thing is that they are in Uncirculated condition and with lots of original lustre. If this were a British halfcrown, a coin of about the same size you would expect to pay £500-£800. Because we bought them right, a very few of our collectors can own. They are 125 years old and in uncirculated condition.
