Crete 25 Drachma 1912-15 PS153 VG

The Bank of Crete issued banknotes for a very short period between 1901 and 1926. Only two values were issued – the 25 drachma and the 100 drachma. It has been a very long time since we offered any notes from Crete. These 25 drachma grade VG, having seen quite a bit of circulation but if you are looking to fill that country gap in your collection, now is the time! A facing portrait of King George appears to the top right and on the left, we find a reverse of an ancient coin portraying a seated Zeus.
