British Linen £1 Anderson P157d Crisp GVF+

The British Linen Bank was established in the 18th century and continued issuing banknotes until 1970 when it merged with the Bank of Scotland. On offer now are £1 notes from the 1950’s in the densely engraved style so associated with the bank in its later years. A panel to the left features a seal of a seated Pallas, goddess of weaving and wisdom (P157) All our notes are with the signature of Anderson as General Manager and are in Crisp GVF condition.
