Bolivia 200 Yrs Ann 1825-2025 Polymer Unc

In 2025, Bolivia celebrated 200 years of Independence form Spanish rule. A special polymer banknote was designed with the proposed denomination of 200 bolivianos to reflect the anniversary. Internal politics however, forced the Bank of Bolivia to scrap the issue. Then the Bank decided to issue it anyway with serial numbers but without the domination. The front is dominated by portraits of eight people who were important in the fight for independence. On the back, we fi nd the facade of the House of Liberty where Bolivian independence was signed in August 1825. The see through security thread to the left features snowcapped mountains, salt fl ats and river dolphins. On the right is a motion surface strip featuring a blue macaw with 3D motion. A handsome issue, if somewhat controversial Uncirculated.
