The ancient City of Aspendos in Pamphylia is famous for its ancient coins. They were an early city that minted regularly to display their great wealth from trade. These silver Stater coins were struck about 465-430 B.C. and show a naked hoplite on the obverse with a triskeles symbol on the reverse. They all show test marks from ancient people checking if the coin is silver throughout, not just on the surface! Though they have these marks, the detail on each coin is of About Very Fine grade. They are 11g of Archaic Greek silver from 2500 years ago showing the symbols of the city, we have priced it as best we can for your collection!
