The “moneda nacional”, or national currency, circulated in Argentina between 1881 and 1968 to replace the Argentinian real which had been used since the country gained its independence in 1816. In this set we are off ering a 5, 10 and 20 centavo coin in circulated condition from the 1880s until 1942. These coins all carry a depiction of Liberty wearing a Phrygian cap on the obverse and the value within a laurel wreath on the reverse.
