Ancient Egyptian Faience Bead Necklaces

People haven’t really changed much in the last 2500 years. Just like us, the ancient Egyptians loved personal decoration, especially jewellery. One of the main materials they used was ‘Faience’ which was basically made from ground quartz and glass. It was used by everyone, rich and poor, as it could be made into all sorts of colours and it was smooth against the skin. We offer these beautiful necklaces and bracelets made from multi-coloured ancient Egyptian Faience beads which have been restrung on a sturdy modern cord. They date from the late Dynastic period, roughly 1000-500 B.C. The necklaces consist of around 90 larger beads with an approximate length of 22-25 cms. And the bracelets are formed of around 130 smaller beads strung on elastic with an approximate size of 7cms diameter, ready to wear. Each comes with a certificate of authenticity.
