Elizabeth II, Halfpenny (Coronation) 1953 Unc

One of the most difficult denominations to get, in Uncirculated condition, is the Halfpenny. It was a denomination that was regularly used and thus usually comes in circulated condition. We went through one of our vault rooms and found a box of 1953 Coronation Halfpennies in Uncirculated condition taken from the Mint Set of that year; they came out of a plastic folder. Over the past 65 years, they have mellowed a bit, but they have never seen circulation. Years ago we offered the 1953 Penny and that quickly sold out; we expect the same thing to happen on the Coronation halfpenny.

Victoria, Halfcrown (Old Head) VG

The Half Crown of Queen Victoria with the Old Head design is the second-largest denomination in silver to be struck with this bust of the Queen. You have the bust of Queen Victoria her widow’s dress and a crowned shield on the reverse. They are struck in Sterling Silver and were only issued from 1893-1901. A nice large Sterling Silver coin in Very Good condition and each one is at least 117 years old. We think you will love this coin, we already do.

George VI, Florin 1944 Unc

We just bought a hoard of the 1944 King George VI Silver Florin, what was special is that they were all in Uncirculated condition. World War II was still raging and the coins were still struck in silver. You have the bare head of King George VI on the obverse and Rose with a crown, a thistle and a shamrock on the reverse. The Florin is the most difficult coin to get in high grade and all of these 1944 King George VI Florins are in Uncirculated condition. Well worth having.
